Greetings,
This is the first time we've posted up here ... new social situations make us anxious. But here's an intro for the dreamwidth.
We are the cadence collective, a system which, at last check of the archive, numbered at 52 who choose to give me names to put into the files we keep earthside, which isn't our word but is one we use. It just means, on the earth in which this body currently exists. We are a believer of some form of multiverse theory, believing that we have connections within our system and sybsystems to multiple worlds and universes. Most people call this a gateway system, but that term doesn't resonate with us, most people feeling that gateway makes it sound like the system itself is used for nothing more than its connections. We instead identify with the term multiverse collective. We originally found out that we were plural when the body was 18 years old, having repeatedly done some rather rude things to one of the main host's ex's and not remembering it. He helped us to discover plurality, originally saying it was a disorder that needed to be fixed. We believe that multiplicity is not a disorder. Multiplicity i s a way of being.
A few warnings, because people in the 21st century are inordinately sensitive sometimes, or have various triggers that could be triggered by our posts.
1. There are several fictives, having arrived over the course of a few years.
2. There are a few factives, however for the sake of earthside confidentiality, the identities of those factives will be altered in posts. This is not because we have anything to hide, but is simply a protection of the earthside individual or group that the factive represents. I am quite positive, for example, that if I had a factive of ... I don't know, Donald Trump, he would not appreciate his name being ... actually that's a bad example, yes he would. Never mind, point is, identities of factives will be altered in posts to protect the individual or group they represent. And just to make sure everyone's clear. I do not. have a factive. of Donald Trump.
3. We have several system kids, headkids, syskids, littles, whatever word you typically use for them. Some of them were conceived between system mates, some have been here since before we knew we were plural, and some walked in.
4. Things may get explicit, I will try and preface each post with a tw ... hopefully without spoiling the contents of the post. Next post will be about various terms we use to describe things in our system.
